Generally considered to be the main vine of the viticulture in Friuli due to its particular character and delicacy, which is determined by the quality of the soil and climate. The Merlot which is cultivated in Corona is unique. Of ruby red colour with distinct violet shades, slightly vinous with fruity touches of raspberry and blueberry and a characteristic aroma reminiscent of violets. Warm, dry, slightly tanninous with palatable flavour.
